The Continental Divide Group was founded with the notion that small changes at a strategic time and place can have a profound impact on lasting results. The Continental Divide is an imaginary line that runs along a continuous mountain ridge from Northwest Canada, through the Rockies in the US, all the way to the Sierra Madre Occidental mountains in Mexico.
A bucket of water dropped on the West side of the divide will flow West to the Pacific Ocean while a bucket of water dropped on the East side will flow Northeast to the Hudson Bay or Southeast to the Gulf of Mexico. A one foot course correction at the right time and place can affect that water’s destination by thousands of miles.
